Hi,

I've Installed the MOM Manager and Database on Domain 'Y' and want to
install the Administrator Console and Operator Console in Domain 'Z'. but
there is no trust between the domains.

I'm working with MOM 2005sp1. Will MOM work in this scenario?

I'm running Windows 2000 SP4 on the client (but this could be upgraded to
anything else, if I can get it to work!).

Hello Tony,

Since permissions are granted through local security groups on the server,
you'd need the trust in place in order to grant security permissions to operators
in Domain Z.

So could I go the other way...

Set up the MOM Manager in my domain and have it monitor servers in a
non-trusted domain?

regards

Tony

Yes, just make sure you undo the default "mutual authentication" and
"reject manual installations" Global Settings on the Mgmt Server.
